The Berry Patch Inn offers a restorative atmosphere for the guest who needs "to get away from it all", whether for an evening or an extended stay. Your hostess, Ann Caggiano, is a world traveled proprietress and she offers her beautiful mountain top chalet home nestled in a forest of tall pines, for that perfect diversion to everyday life. Only three miles to the center of town, The Berry Patch has private road access and is very serene and quiet, ideal for a fabulous honeymoon style escape. Guests are invited to take a walk on the two acres, and stop by the seasonal fruit orchard, berry patches and green gardens to take in the sounds of nature and munch on the sun-warmed berries. For those who enjoy the more quiet wonders of nature, this mounta in is a bird watcher's paradise, and occasionally you will hear the call of the wild. An authentic Sioux Tepee, on the property offers a place for quiet contemplation and communication with nature. the only Idaho business recognized by "Nordstrom's" Store (Spokane) in their "Rediscover the Northwest" 1993 promotion, while "Country Magazine" gave national acclaim, in "Perfect Place to Stay while Touring Americas Countryside", (1994) and just recently was hailed as one of the top 20 Inns of the Rockies by "National Geographic Traveler", (March 1997)

The man made waterfall and fish pond just outside of the French doors of "Waterberry" cascades in seven different segments downhill to the pond. At dusk the entire area is softly lighted. The view and the sound are seen and heard in "Moonberry" too.

Find a place to relax in comfort with only the sound of the waterfall and assorted birds and wildlife. This area is near the private patio area of "Waterberry" and available to all guests.






An authentic Sioux tipi is available for the guests pleasure. It offers a place for quiet contemplation, communication with nature and a "private place" for guests.

Enjoy the view from the deck of the Inn facing North. Bask in the majestic glory of the Cabinet Mountain Chain and Mt. Spokane (not completely visible). The prairie at the base of the mountain chain is the Rathdrum. The evergreens you see are cedar, pine and tamarac.



The "Northberry" Room- Done in white wicker and pastel, Northberry boasts large glass windows with a panoramic view of the mountains and prairie. There is a brass ceiling chandelier and playful stuffed animals in a basket to the left of wicker couch.

You'll love the antique and bent birch furnishings in "Moonberry." Both windows open outward and overlook the man made waterfall and fish pond below. As dusk falls the waterfall lights come on, and the great sound of the water lulls one to a sweet sleep.



Lose yourself in "Waterberry" with its hand-hewn queen-size log bed and Battenburg linen. The room is a symphony in shades of white with a bathroom with double marble sinks, full bath and shower, and a make-up vanity surrounded with lights. Note the private French door entrance. It exits to a private patio at the base of our waterfall.

You'll take pleasure from the comfortable sofas and the fireplace of the guest great room. From this view you can see the foyer at the base of the stairs and the hutch in the dining room. This great room is equipped with a satellite TV, a VCR, video tapes and board games to play.



The dining room is photographed as seen upon entering the front door. You can see the kitchen to the right and the door to the Waterberry room to the left of the picture center. Large windows on two sides bring brightness to the dining room and breathtaking views of the forest and Mt. Spokane.
