All About Breakfast
Breakfast at The Main Inn is an event to be remembered. You'll be seated at a table set with fine antique china, sterling flatware, and crystal stemware. On weekday mornings, you'll be dazzled by an array of freshly baked breads and fresh fruits. On weekends, you'll choose from an enticing selection of delectable entrees, all accompanied by fresh fruit, bacon, and sausage. Of course, your meal always includes juice, water, and coffee, tea, or soda.
|
Weekday Offerings
Weekday fare typically includes a selection of three to five different breads. How about strawberry muffins with just a hint of orange flavor, raspberry streusel muffins, or lemon pecan muffins? For the sweet tooth, there's a creamy cheese Danish, baby cinnamon rolls, gooey butterscotch pull-apart cinnamon nut coffee cake, or toasted almond coffee cake. The various homemade toasts with jellies and preserves are also must-tries.
Weekend Selections
A variety of gourmet options guarantees that weekend guests will have difficulty choosing their breakfast entree. Many guests opt for the banana pancakes, topped with sliced bananas, toasted pecans, and a dusting of powdered sugar, and served with both a mango syrup and a cinnamon syrup. The airy lemon pancakes served with a warm blueberry syrup run a close second. A sinful French toast using thick slices of homemade bread and served with warm maple syrup is equally enticing. Egg lovers should try the house omelette, filled with sauteed mushrooms, scallions, and cheese, and topped with additional cheese, fresh herbs from the backyard herb garden, and a dollop of sour cream. The house quiche, generously filled with mushrooms, bacon, blanched onions, and swiss cheese, is sure to leave you with fond memories of your stay at The Main Inn.
