The Verona House Bed & Breakfast

The Verona House Bed and Breakfast is a Sears Roebuck Co. Catalog house and has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Verona Model came to Brooksville in two boxcars in the spring of 1925. A two story Dutch colonial home, precut and ready to assemble included a 76-page instruction booklet. Located 2 blocks south of the Courthouse in historical Brooksville. Your hosts Bob and Jan Boyd enjoy sharing the historical background of their town and to let you look at the Sears catalog and view plans for homes ranging in the price from $400 to $5000.

Jan recently retired from the workplace and has more time to cook up the full breakfast that is provided. Enjoy baked casseroles, french toast, muffins and breads with fresh fruit and juice. Stop by just to look around when visiting downtown Brooksville, even if you can't stay!

The Rooms at the Verona House



The rooms are intimate and each has its own special decor and elegant furnishings. The atmosphere is leisurely and casual. Accommodations include three guest rooms upstairs and one downstairs. Rates from $77.00 to $100.00 Corporate rates Sunday through Thursday $70.00

The Magnolia Room "A" Upstairs with light and lacy windows adorned with ivy and a charming magnolia bedspread. A queen size wooden bed and a rug with large magnolias. Comfortable chairs and a table that can be used as a desk or placed beside a full length mirror for a make up desk. A window in bathroom that make you feel delightful.

The Floral Room "B" Upstairs with iron bed and a table to use as a desk, includes a modem hook up in addition to the phone. Our smaller romantic room with flowery wall paper from the early 70's. Windows are light and lacy and draped with roses.

The Russell Room "D" is upstairs and comes with private bath including soaking claw-foot tub surrounded with tile curved around to enclose the shower. The room has a queen-size iron bed with pastel flowery spread and white Jenny Lind single daybed and light blond colored deco night stands. A large mirror hangs over a long table that can be used for a desk or make-up area.
The Russell Room has a single daybed with crochet cover in addition to the queen size bed..

Upstairs Sitting Room, with books and chairs well lit for reading and have a selection of board games. We keep the refrigerator well stocked with soft drinks, juice and bottled water. Early coffee and tea are served in the morning for the early riser, accompanied by our local newspaper.

"The Grand Room" King size bed or push apart and two extra long singles.
The Grand Room "M" downstairs with limited handicap access. King size maple bed or can be separated to be 2 extra long singles with pink flowery decor. Four windows adorned with lace for that bright and cheery atmosphere. The walls have wild life artwork provided by a local artist.

The Porch welcomes use by all of our guests, with its swing and rocking chairs. The gate on the North end leads to the birdhouse trail, which gives access to a backyard spa.
